Graphologist Uses Your Writing to Help You Achieve Your Best
There is something unsettling about your first meeting with Sylvia Friedman.
Scribble your name, your birthday in numbers, and a short paragraph. Four or
five totally disconnected sentences and she will look at it for a moment or
two and then look up at you and in calm, firm tones tell you all about yourself.
Friedman says, "She wants to help people understand themselves--strengths and
weaknesses -- and consequently improve their chances of leading happier lives.

Companies hiring Sylvia Friedman aren't seeking the traditional human resources
advice. They hire Friedman, a consultant in human behavior, for her innate ability
to assess employees' personalities through graphology, intuition and coaching.
She brings personal growth to the workplace, teaching team building and compatibility.
She can see through handwriting that a vice president candidate, for example,
doesn't possess leadership skills. She tells the company.
"I have powerful interpretive and intuitive skills; I know how to read people,
says Friedman. " I help people understand what they were born to do.

Get It In Writing
Graphologist Sylvia Friedman is one of a growing number of behavior consultants
offering new ways of gauging applicants' and workers' skills and characteristics.
A growing number of corporations are using Graphology as a tool in the hiring
process. "Many companies come to me with applicant's handwriting samples," she
says. Through their samples, I am able to determine character traits, leadership
ability, work habits, business attitudes, communication skills, honesty versus
deceitfulness, and emotional responsiveness.
A number of corporations are utilizing experts such as Friedman as the intricate
link to both the hiring process and bringing personal growth to the workplace.
"I can determine a person's level of ambition, separate the chiefs from the
Indians, and identify, within a group, the true executive", she says.
Friedman, a behavior specialist, has been analyzing writing for over twenty
years. There is more to graphology than how a person crosses their "T"s or if
they dot their "I"s says Friedman. "I look at the margins, the arches and the
slant of the handwriting...even the closest reference check can't divulge the
personality characteristics the way handwriting can.
Also, in today's corporate environment, the pressure is on for increased productivity
with leaner staffs. Very often "leaner" becomes "meaner" when employees become
frustrated and staff relations become strained.
Part of the solution to such team problems lies within each staff member. By
supporting workers in discovering their own innate character traits, behavior
patterns, talents, skills, and natural preferences, an employer allows staff
members to improve their self understanding -- and their understanding of fellow
employees.
"Graphology can help with this by reading "nature's blueprint of the mind, "
according to Friedman. I have seen this happen and happen again as I work with
each company.", she says. "For example, does a salesman reveal persuasive abilities,
enthusiasm, determination and intuition? It's all in the handwriting. I can
advise the company accordingly."
For companies, Friedman has designed many seminars. They are morale boosting,
self-revealing, inspirational, and people find it easier to interact with each
other.
Friedman's clients include, Lettuce Entertain You, Enterprises, Inc., McDonald's,
Neiman Marcus, The Levy Restaurants, AT&T, Margie Korshak, Inc. and more. Friedman
claims that, after a few hours, their employees came away uplifted, enlightened,
more aware of the innate differences among themselves and the importance of
tolerance for these differences in the workplace.
Her motivational seminars and keynote speeches are directed toward increasing
self-esteem, developing blind courage, decreasing rigidity, and how to gain
maximum productivity from themselves.
Many people go through life wearing rose-colored glasses, says Friedman. My
goal is to assist them in adjusting the tint to achieve a sense of balance,
both personally and professionally.
